Meet Our Orthopedic Surgeons

AJ Friessen, DO

Dr. AJ Friessen provides orthopedic care for patients of all ages and is highly skilled in shoulder, knee and hip surgery. His background includes service as a combat medic in the National Guard and orthopedic experience with the United States Navy. He works with patients to understand their symptoms, review treatment options and determine the best path forward, whether that includes surgical or nonsurgical care.

Sandeep Munjal, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS

Dr. Sandeep Munjal brings decades of orthopedic experience to JCHC, with a focus on hip and knee care, adult joint reconstruction and joint replacement. He has extensive experience with robotic-assisted procedures and helped pioneer robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery in Iowa. His background also includes complex and revision joint replacement, giving patients access to advanced orthopedic care close to home.
